Is this what you mean?
Kansas L is pretty respectable @Phogg Allen
Quite the defensive bball game there. Did Kansas his a 3 at the buzzer or something?
A&M get their $75mill national title, yet?
Tech get theirs?
We didn't sign ours to a 10 year, 75 mill contract.
Yeah, tech pulled in a HC who was 10 games over .500 as a HC.
Look closer. Utah State had not won 9 games since 1960. Won 10 games three times while Wells was there...once as AC and twice as HC. The years he sucked in between he lost his starting QB both years. Sorta like this season. But hey, he is no Jimbo.
both = three
But tech amirite?
LOLZ!!!
Actually he still won w 2nd, 3rd. And 4th string QBs...it was the departure of both OC and DC in 2016 that sent him in the ****ter. But hey, he suckz.
so many excuses
And only $18 mill in hole if it doesn't work.
Wait, are you bragging about the fact that y'all brokedicks can't afford to hire a top tier coach?
Just cause you got money in the bank doesn't mean you should blow it.
Money is relative. That amount of money to us isn't the same as it is to you. Not even close.
Besides, I don't understand you point. Blow it? We'd have to pay for a coach anyway. The Texas A&M job is a job that is going to draw AT LEAST $5M a year because of the size of the school and the league we play in. Your thought is for us to be "budget conscious" and "hope" we hit on an up and comer? Why? We don't have to. Even if it doesn't work out, we can still afford to pay him out and get a new one. If you can afford to hire a proven coach, why wouldn't you? Look at your message boards (and everyone else's) when a coach is being fired and new hires are being spectulated on. EVERY SINGLE one of them has a "wish list" that includes PROVEN coaches. In our case, we went and got one of those guys who is always on those lists. If Tech COULD do that, they would.
You're speaking from the perspective of a school that unfortunately can't afford to do what we can. This is like you living in a $300K house and lecturing a guy who lives in a $1M house that he shouldn't spend his money on such things because of the risks of the market. The problem is he can afford to take that risk. You can't.
