LSU band and even somewhat the Lamar band were annoying when the Ags were on offense at that end of the field. As someone above mentioned, I'd prefer no visiting band at all. But, that's part of the event.

To put the band way up in the nosebleed sections increases likelihood of damage to an instrument, by having to traverse more steps and is a dick move.

Due to the south end zone demo, a lot of fans had to be displaced which explains the limited allotment and putting visiting fans in the upper deck.

I don't think this is the massive dick move you're making it out to be
We have gone through two stadium renovations in the last 30 years. Never put opposing fans and bands only in the upper deck. And interestingly enough, we did a north end renovation which reduced our seats but we still honored the opposing band and fans.

And other stadiums have been renovated. Never seen the opposing band put in the upper deck. Have you?

You were Texas, we are now. Texans do not do petty stuff like that.

I'm sorry we put bands in the upper deck

my seats are at the southerly end along the 15 yard line and 45 rows up and I could not hear them at all.

Pretty CS on our part

By the way, I was expecting a bunch of aholes after what you guys have said about them but they all seemed pretty polite; there were several sitting to my right and they were enthusiastic but well behaved, Reminded me of the way you guys are when you used to play us. Good fans and good sports.

Yes... they're really great. I hope you get a chance to join them in Red Stick next season to witness their southern hospitality up close and personal.

No you are not. You are a sip fan and would do it again because of your entitled bs.

Actually, they've been putting visiting bands and fans in the upper deck, and limiting visitors to the Big XII minimum number of seats, long before the renovation project began.

They do it because the Big XII rules don't require them to provide any field level seating to visitors, so they don't. It's also meant to discourage visiting bands from coming, as it makes marching at halftime next to impossible. Unfortunately, this attitude is not exactly unique to the sips.

Of course i've never heard of another program petitioning their conference to make a simple hand gesture a penalty either... so there's that.
I've never heard of another program throwing dildo parades, either. The sips are special.

I don't know many who have jizz jars and squeeze their nuts. Or who have male cheer boys wearing milk men costumes.

I have never had a jizz jar or known anybody who did. I do not know any real Texan who has not grabbed their nuts.

The only "Texans" I have heard of who had a dildo parade were in Austin. And those are the facts sir.

Why is it even an issue? Who really cares where the band sits other than the home crowd. Halftime happens regardless, and most people know that your band is something to behold.
And that's coming from a current conference-mate. Not that that matters either way, but I'll see y'all in Oxford.

I actually agree with you. The question is if it does not matter, why do this? Unless you are just being petty.

The Texas athletic department is full of bull excrement but that doesn't mean putting the LSU band in the nose bleeds isn't funny as hell.

It's only slightly less funny than limp wristed Tommy getting his sh t pushed in at home by the tigers.
