Lol. It's an insult, but most of them are too ignorant to understand ....

Just a person who is a rabid fan and attended tarpley tech.

Lots of them change shirts depending on who's winning that year.

This is what I thought. My brother graduated from SWT and lives in Austin. He's a huge longhorn sports overall fan. He went off on the SEC after they beat Georgia. I called him a t-shirt fan and he got upset. IMO, that was just a statement and not an insult.

When the whorns lose, they are quiet. When the whorns win, they are the most obnoxious, in your face, screaming supporters of a school they could never get into.

That is why they are worse than actual people that are true graduates.

A true t-shirt fan isn't merely a fan of the sips, but someone who talks massive smack and - when confronted with the reality that they didn't attend school there - they tell you how long they've been a fan, or about other family members who went there.

Every one I know that claims to be a sip, gets all upset when I ask them to show me their diploma.

They started by screwing with me about A&M, then get offended and pissed off at me.

I have to explain in length they started it, I'm stating facts.

Last guy I've known since we were 12, he started the mouthing off. Then he says he wasn't smart enough for t.u., then gets pissed because I have a degree.

Not my fault, I worked hard for my education. I don't care about t.u. or sips. The tee shirt sips are the worst.

This yo yo Your Friend is a hoot to laugh at because he doesn't even realize how foolish he appears. Even to the real visiting sips.

BTW, the longhorn bum youtube is my favorite to use because it shuts up sips AND tee shirt sips

My friend referenced above actually went to a two year tech school. He makes false teeth for a living

Perhaps I look at it a little differently. I don't think its a bad thing for a school to have TShirt fans. I actually think it's a big positive. Most "blue blood" programs have tons of them...it's why you find Notre Dame tee shirts in Texas Walmarts. T-shirt fans increase their merchandise sales and TV viewership numbers. Sure they're obnoxious...so what.

I've gone through Tarpley lots of times, spent a fair amount of time there including a couple of New Year's eves, and there's no college there.

I don't have a problem with people being fans of a school if they didn't go there. My issue is when they talk smack to people that actually spent money and put the time in to get a degree from one of the actual schools.

I didn't attend a aTm, but I raised a son who did. C/O 2012. I became an Aggie fan after I was lucky enough to sit at a table with RC Slocum in the early/mid 80's at an FCA breakfast at a coaching clinic. I have quite a bit of Aggie gear that I wear at appropriate places, we had FB season tickets for a long time, even managed to travel to away games every now and then. I rarely talk down about any major college, except for Baylor. They seem to be an easy target. Fans are fans, no matter how they get started. There will always be t-shirt fans of Texas, because of the history, tradition, and level of success they enjoyed over time. Lately, it seems aTm has become more attractive to people not
steeped in Aggie culture, that's not a bad thing.
