Not trying to derail or start a **** flinging war. I had zero ties to Tech until a few years ago. My Aggie son c/o 2012, came out to Lubbock for graduate school awhile back. Three years ago, my wife and I moved out here because I got a coaching job in the Lubbock area. I've learned so far, that Tech likes winners. Football had been bad, but tailgate parties are pretty good. Basketball and Baseball programs are legit, and fairly accessible. Season tickets are affordable, and game day atmosphere is good to outstanding, depending on sport or competition. Last but not least, Tech hates the Whorns as much as Aggies.
