And again, Bru alone wouldn't have lifted Texas from 9 to 3.
Prior to the last update (where the alleged inflation takes place), #9 Texas was at 275-276. #3 A&M was at about 284-285. Bru adds 8-9 points. I don't see why this is hard for you to grasp.

Recruiting rankings are an inexact science at best. And ranking inflation will show whether it is justified in time. What I can't grasp is how Bru, by rule, had to enter the transfer portal but can be counted in this year's class.
Because sip. Plain and simple.

My biggest issue with the rankings is that they don't drill down further. A team can load up on WRs and DBs, but get hardly anything up front and it counts just the same as a team that does the opposite. The problem is, and as its been proven for years, teams that win big are the ones with the talent up front.

If you were a WR why would you ever go to the sips? They have like a dozen 4 (and 5?!) star receivers on their roster.
And they only got 2 o linemen this year... Shepherd will switch to us (though could personally take him or leave him). I saw that they redshirted a few guys on that side of the ball but on the other side- they have ONE d lineman north of 250 pound in their 2019 class. That's not okay, regardless of your conference.

Texas will lose Johnson, Duvernay, and Burt next year in addition to Humphrey this year. They usually run 5-6 deep at WR as far as meaningful minutes go so not surprising WRs are stacking up. The lack of linemen in this class is concerning, I can't deny that. The 2016 DL class they signed was loaded with 4 star talents and only 1-2 of those guys turned out to be worth anything, DL depth will probably be their biggest weakness over the next season or two. Only thing that could save them is that Texas has a top notch strength and conditioning coach, which is part of why they've outperformed their talent on paper in the trenches this season.

Bru played both DE/OLB and WR in HS. He's got the body for OLB. He reminds me of Mike Evans or Rodgers. He just gets open and makes a catch.

I wonder why that is? Hmm, I think that's been discussed earlier in this thread. Something..... something...... inflated overranking.

So the plan is to now take a 5* WR and move him to defense? Sounds Mensa level smart.

That happens when a site over inflated a player's ranking. The longhorns may have had recruits that were ranked 4 and 5 stars, but that doesn't mean they weren't actually only 3 star or worse talents. Go ahead and be excited that your guys suddenly have more stars beside their names, but don't call them busts when they wouldn't have been ranked that high had they been committed elsewhere.

Bru McCoy could play WR and be a stud or play OLB on rushing plays and be a stud. He did it for three years and was the best player on the field. He was listed as an athlete in recruiting, not just a WR.

First of all, you moron, A&M is recruiting out west. Even though per capita it's a ****ty area because the talent isn't that good. Jeremiah Martin signed last year. Fisher was in Washington this week. You sound like a clueless dumbass on many fronts, but this weird defensive attitude is ****ing ridiculous. Playing goalie for a 17 year old kid who's clearly a flake that you don't even know. Weird as ****.

We spend a lot more time recruiting in the southeast because the talent is much better there. Strange as **** how big of a cheerleader you are for some California high school private school. Who gives a ****.

Hey, I'm not happy he went to the sips either. I watched the kid play in HS for 3 years and dominate on both sides of the ball. No matter how you downplay it, this was a big score for sippy.

Mike Evans is 6'5" and runs a 4.5. McCoy is 6'2" and runs a 4.63.

Bru may be great, but comparing him to Mike Evans is silly. Plenty of good athletes that fit McCoy's build and speed, but Evans is a different mold.

The delusion is thick here. No, i'm not a sip. Just an Aggie fan. I have family that are Ags and I follow A&M. I live in SoCal. A&M is missing the recruiting opportunities in SoCal. Alabama, Auburn, LSU, Ole Miss, Miss State, Florida, FSU, Clemson, uSC and even t.u. are active out here. One of the MD OLB kids, I mentioned were just offered by LSU and Auburn. I just hope to see A&M pick up one of these kids and not be one of the "me too" offers. Hell, Coach O was driving off campus the other day and then the offers.

Maybe he's more of a slow Christian Kirk? Or a slow Speedy Noil, who was also a 5* athlete? I just doubt that a 6'2" guy has the length and range that either of our long limbed 6'5" guys have/had (not only are the two "comparables" taller, but they also have long arms for their already big height).

What kind of idiot says this about a kid that's never stepped foot on a college field? You're trying to compare him to one of the best WRs in the NFL.
