I am always interested to read the comments section of these articles.

It's amazing that after a year of this, they still cling to the lie that it happens everywhere. They cannot seem to grasp the simple fact that while rapes happen everywhere, they are in their own universe for systemic administrative failure and coverup.
And now you have a coach, arguably the most popular person on campus now telling people that anyone who has reservations about a school with Baylors recent history with a form of violence deserves a beating, and is wildly applauded.
I get they feel besieged and beat down and love the fact that someone is finally standing up for the school, but have some situational awareness for heavens sake.

At least she didn't say they should gang rape any Baylor critics. ...so there's that.

So much this. And, let's pretend for just a moment that it does "happen everywhere" (I still maintain that it certainly doesn't in these numbers and is absolutely not covered up on this level, but let's just go with it). Aren't they supposed to be a Christian school? Of course, anyone who has actually spent time on that campus or is a real Christian rather than someone who just tries to walk around patting himself on the back for being holy rather than actually living it in his heart knows the truth. .. but they do claim to be Christian. Shouldn't they be attempting to live a life above reproach? Shouldn't the idea of one of their sisters being violated break their hearts? Shouldn't they want to help her rather than victim shame and cover up for the assailant?

Of course, they should try to help the assailant change his ways, too, but that's not going on either. They are shaming the victims and patting the assailants on the back. Then, this idiot encourages more violence if someone dares to think something is amiss at that school. They disgust me.

Big sport athletes won't be put in those positions like normal students. They take care of their moneymakers, and if something did happen to one of them, they'd hide it just like Briles.

The three big sport athletes get special treatment obviously, Baylor just took it to a whole new level. That's why all athletics should be shut down.
