He was smart enough to stay away from a sinking ship with Strong. He set himself up to look really good if he can make Kansas even somewhat reasonable on offense (like even better than the one that best tu this year).

Actually it was Meacham's co-OC Sonny Cumbie that Strong was trying to hire, IIRC.

Posters of TexAgs wanted Meacham here to replace Spav last year. TCU signed both Meacham and Cumbie to contract extensions with a raise.

I think there was some displeasure about his play calling. He did have some weird play calling games.

I think most of the TCU folks think Cumbie is the important one to keep. 6-7 seasons lead to changes.
