I regret to inform the members of this site that dad peacefully passed away this morning after a 3 year battle with cancer. He was home with mom just like he wanted.

Several months ago he wrote a letter to the members of this site to be posted upon his death. I will quote his exact word below. If this can be reposted on the old rivalries, outdoor and politics board would be appreciated as per his wishes.

"To my friends here. Texags was a daily routine for me for many years. Although I never met anyone from here in person, I feel that I made many friends. Some members I didn't always agree with but I always respected your contributions and positions on various topics.

To the members of the Old Rivalries board (including stupid sips and tards), thank you for all that you taught me regarding current lingo (although my wife was not always happy with the words/phrases I learned). Being able to communicate with my great grandchildren in "their" language meant the world to me and made me a "hip" grandpa.

The out pouring of support during times of bad health was heart warming and proved to me that humanity exists, is real and can be very powerful. The fact that so many could care for an unknown old man meant so much to me and my family.

For those that inquired and never received a response I apologize. I should have at least taken the time to provide a response to your questions.

Thank you all for the education I received from the members here. Thank you all for the kindness you showed. Thank you all for the love and support. Mostly thank you all for being my friend.

Until I meet you again I bid you farewell and BEAT THE HELL OUTTA tu! GIG EM!

This is a very sad passing, and TexAgs is worse for it.

But, Steve Kerr remembered Craig Sager pre-game last night and spoke before 18,000...he basically said he thought about the usual moment of silence, but after remembering the man himself, he asked for a joyous round of applause in celebration. I like that...for the right person.

As I sit here simultaneously LMFAO with misty eyes(?), I'm thinkin' that for TexAg'rs who didn't know him personally, Mr. Kerr's idea rocks for good 'ol Aggie1944.

Bravo, 44. We'll soldier on down here and "stupid sips and tards" will get what you gave 'em better than darn near anyone. I think the word is "perspective". (The polite term)

Your work down here is done. When we look up toward the heavens and see a flaming piece of what looks like

when he talked about freebasing with George Washington it really made me question if he was really as old as he claimed. Pretty cool that he was able to use the site to get the parlance of our times down. What a badass from the badass generation.

Sad to hear this but in honor of the one of our real life baddest of badasses this world has ever known, we will honor him by continuing to beeach slap the sips and tards every day in his memory. Every time you drop the hammer on one of the idiots, remember!
