Maybe they're tired of losing their coach every 2 years and think the solution is to hire someone that no one else wants.Texan1976 said:
No way they would hire him.
LOL. There's a certain symmetry to that.redd38 said:Maybe they're tired of losing their coach every 2 years and think the solution is to hire someone that no one else wants.Texan1976 said:

Good point. But there is a difference. Baylor is private. It can be sued to hell and back.91_Aggie said:
Can you imagine the crapstorm that would occur with the first sexual assault that occurs at Houston while he is at the helm?
UH might be dumb enough/desperate enough to hire him, but there is absolute zero-room for "error".
Even if Briles had nothing to do with it, Houston would be in deep caca.

They fired the guy before Herman, but 3/4 isn't bad.

Houston has the sovereign immunity defense it could assert.
Worked for tech when Leach sued them. Not all states define sovereign immunity in the same way.HTownAg98 said:aggiehawg said:Good point. But there is a difference. Baylor is private. It can be sued to hell and back.91_Aggie said:

That didn't stop people suing Penn State over the Sandusky fiasco. UH could assert sovereign immunity, but I'm not sure it would work.

"Administrators" have nothing to do with this. The decision to hire briles will be uncle tillman's, and his alone.phatbeast said:aggiehawg said:Good point. But there is a difference. Baylor is private. It can be sued to hell and back.91_Aggie said:

Even if that's true, there's no way administrators responsible for his hire would keep their jobs.
They will enjoy sovereign immunity until the lege waives the limit. There were attempts to do that to A&M right after bonfire fell.aggiehawg said:Good point. But there is a difference. Baylor is private. It can be sued to hell and back.91_Aggie said:

They don't want Major over Lane Kiffin. If Saban is lobbying for Kiffin to get the UofH job, he also had Major and his staff at Bama and fired him after one season.EKUAg said:
Apparently Major is applying for UH per the crawler.
