He'd rather have some dough so he can make a damn child support payment for once in his life.

Sorry. Thought this thread was about great running backs out of Texas.
(Crap. I forget that sarcasm doesn't work on the Web)

if CBong went to Ohio State or USC or some other school where the philosophy is to feature a key player, he'd be getting serious Heisman love right now

Man, I don't know about that. In all seriousness, I see nothing but AVERAGE outta this guy. Maybe I'm crazy. He never breaks any long ones, doesn't run away from anybody, not really a tackle-breaking, tough inside runner, and doesn't have great moves. So what's so good about him? I'd bet you could plug any RB on the UT roster in there and the rushing total would not suffer.

As for Jerrod Douglas, he had a pretty damn good career, did he not? He certainly wasn't a bust...in college anyway. He had a direct impact on many more games than C-Bong has in his career.

To me, that points to a problem in their offense line. If any back can get those yards, then the line isn't doing it's job. Coz he's probably a helluva lot better than Brett Robin and he would outrush BR, don't you think?

He's definitely better than Robin.

I apologize, but I don't know who Brett Robin is. But whatshisname...Selvin Young? He's just as good as Cedric. I'm not saying Cedric is awful or anything. But I don't think he's as good as the starters for half of the Big 12.

I know they're having problems with the O-line over there. But jeez, bust one by accident every once in a while. Am I missing something?

I was one of the few who thought Ced was a bit overrated in HS. He had a phenomenal career, don't get me wrong. But after watching him run a couple times in person, I just didn't see greatness at the next level.

Obviously I'd have to go with the guy my dad coached, Dickerson.

6th Street, the way I remember it Douglas' mother initially refused to sign the LOI for Baylor.

Temporary hope for Horns dashed when she gave in and signed.
