the joke is the BU TT game in Dallas this weekend might have more bearing on the Big XII title than OU tu in the Cotton Bowl.

The Cotton Bowl will only help decide where the next flock of 3 stars are going.

Back during the 40 or so years we went to that game, we frequently got that time slot. I never remember it played at night, and there were world series and then playoff games on that Saturday afternoon. I can tell you that after getting traditionally blitzed until late on Friday night, it made it very hard to get to the Fairgrounds, meet up at the Car Show, eat a corny dog, drink a beer, and get to the seats by 11:05 AM. Then it was hard to get to the hotel, get cleaned up, get blitzed again, and stay up all Saturday night, and then get back to Houston in time for work.

Thank goodness I don't have to do that anymore. I can watch it on TV like a civilized person.

Hey Dub did the cars at the show have any wheels and tires still on when everybody left to go to the game and then came back? You know cause its a nice area and all.

That's why they put it at 11AM, so it will get viewers.

What an incredibly weak lineup for the entire week. Nice scheduling job done by the Big 12 conference.

Oh, and good thing CBS didn't pick up the Bama v. Arky game, it would have been a slaughter. A broadcast game only beat a cable game by 160,000 viewers. That's hilarious.

Haha. On the link above, most weeks have three games rated higher than the one that won the week for Texas. Texas is puffing their chest out for being the tallest midget....once. When other, taller midgets didn't show up for the contest.

It's not that a 3.3 is such a crazy number of viewers in a vacuum, it's a crazy number to pull in for a 1-4 team going up against a top 10 team. You'd have to be seriously embarrassed if you couldn't top that in a matchup of two top 10 teams, with obvious playoff implications, involving one of the all-time blueblood programs. I don't care if you're up against a Super Bowl featuring two undefeated teams.

Both had millions more viewers than any regular season game that either Texas or Oklahoma have played in several years.
