Are you ****ing kidding me? He's very smart politically??? Boren failed miserably TWICE at conference realignment and now OU is a deadman walking because of his idiocy. He may be looking around but no one is looking back.

What a pos "conference"

Much fail in that article!

Even assuming, oSu and ksu got kicked to the curb, I dont see the B1G taking ou and ku. The combined population of the 2 states is 7 million currently. Neither is projected to grow at a high rate. The population of Virginia alone is 10 million and projected to grow much faster. VA has better recruits than kansas and oklahoma combined. The B1G would be better served offering UVA and VT than ou and ku.

But the B1G could conceivably get GT or a NC school to further expand the footprint. Kansas and Oklahoma are scraps.


The other fail is the PAC taking tech, tcu, and baylor in a package to get tu. All 3 of those programs are dead weight. Yes the PAC would probably take tech and oSu to get sips and thieves.

And while I agree that the BDF is dysfunctional, I do not see it breaking up in the near future.

At this point, the sips are the only ones in a position to initiate a change. But they have no motivation. They have political control and are getting paid fat by the LHN.

They realized they had scheduling problems. So they picked up the phone and got games with Notre Dame, bYu, UCLA, Cal, tO$U, Michigan, Maryland, U$C, L$U, etc.

It's their own personal plantation. They would have to get offered something big to give up their plantation model.

It does make sense that the one's *****ing about this the most is OU, though. No one got the **** end of the stick in realignment more then they did. A&M, TCU, and Baylor all got elevated in relevance at their, and their recruiting's, expense. The sips at least got the LHN. Their (probably) one chance to join the SEC has now expired. They can't go the the Pac without the sips. OU is royally ****ed right now.

There's no way on God's green earth that the Pac would take TCU and/or Baylor. None. They don't want a religious-based institution in that league..... and if they were absolutely forced into it, they'd make a run at BYU first. The Pac will invite gaylor and/or frogettes about the time A&M decides to move back to the BDF.

Which means..... never.

If OU and sip ditch the BDF; here are the leftovers that I can think of that would make some level of geographical sense:

UH, tech, Okie St, K St, La Tech, Memphis, Boise St, Colo St, BYU, SMU, TCU, Rice, New Mexico (??), Tulane, Tulsa
