I would like to take this opportunity to apologize for two years of constantly baiting and insulting tech fans by calling them rowdy drunks. What I meant to say was "rowdy, drunken, riotous, vandals."

It's difficult typing while laughing so hard.

They should just put a steel cage around that town and put it on pay-per-view.

The amazing thing about this story is that there were only 44 tier 3s in the paddy wagon urinating on themselves.

But on a serious note...cops own us. Period.

They can do anything they want by claiming that they need to take charge of a scene. At that point, once you disobey them AT ALL, they have the right to escalate the situation until they are in total control. Then they get to file BS charges like "public disturbance," which is anything they want it to be.

If you're lucky, at a later date, you will be vindicated. But don't bet on it. Juries love cops. And they hate us poor, working class bruthas who are trying to get by.

F the man...I don't like cops one bit. They are the rednecks from your high school that couldn't get into college.

The thin blue line...they ain't thin, they reek of Brut, and it's the only profession where they could ply their bullying skills and get paid.

Come to think of it, they remind me of some of the rivalries posters from tu and tech.

not a sip- seriously, there are bad cops just like there are stupid college kids that do stupid things at football games.

Just don't give out a blanket condemnation to all cops after 09/11/01. I think a lot more good is done by cops than bad.

I love the police, as long as they're not giving me a nightstick shampoo.

Maybe it's from growing up in Irving and then coming to College Station, but I've seen a lot of instances where cops are only out to get a buck, which has left me almost zero respect for them.

Well, the fellow they arrested Friday night at yell was talking up a storm with the policeman right in front of me, then proceeded to head behind the stage. They ran him off and he proceeded to circle around the whole crowd. Then passing back in front of the stage, he nodded to the cop again then headed backstage. Thereupon he was handcuffed, put in squad car and hauled off. Not one of the brighter Raiders, me thinks. I was to busy taking pictures of the folks trying to bringing and ringing the fire bell to our practice getting forced back by DPS to photograph this poor fellow.

I see that we have a brand new law never before heard of in the State..."public disturbance".

I've only been in law enforcement for a minimal 14+ years and have never heard of this law that gives me free reign to abuse folks! I gotta find this bad boy. I need to abuse as many people as I can because I am an uneducated redneck that couldn't POSSIBLY do anything else 'cept ride around and look for innocent people to abuse!

Look, any of you guy (or girls for that matter) that want to come ride along are welcome to. You folks that bad mouth everything that is law enforcement should really ride along with the police. THEN you can see first hand what's what then make an EDUCATED decision about things. You know where I'm at. Come ride along. OR, better yet, come BAIT me! I'm easy to find and I don't know you so I should be easy prey being the power-hungry fool that I am.

BTW - my "thin blue line" is about 176 pounds on a 5'11" frame so , yeah, I'm pretty thin.
