Dude f***ing hates Sumlin.

From a 4 page thread about Kevin on ObGyn

quote:

Ironically, we'llcontinue to hear from Sumlin's media puppets that NFL teams are knocking down
his door...

Because what NFL team wouldn't want Sumlin after all he's... ahem... proven.

Geoff Ketchum

quote:

I've said it before many times, the2016 season will be Sumlin's last in College Station.

It'd be funny if he was right. But instead of being fired, it'd be because he'd won an NC and was hired away by an NFL team.

Theories abound;

A - Ketch had his pudgy high school girlfriend stolen by some guy named Kevin.
B - "Kevin" was the derisive nickname junior high school bullies gave to Ketch's cocktail-weenie-sized dingus.
C - A man named Kevin snatched up the last chicken wing from in front of Ketch years ago at Pluckers.

The NFL doesn't want Sumlin. Sumlin will leave for the NFL. We've always been at war with Eastasia

Ketch knows Sumlin has a chance to be a huge success in College Station, if he stays a while.

Success in College Station does NOT help Ketch's business.

It's really that simple.

So which is it sips? Is Sumlin going to dump us for the NFL or does no teams in the NFL want him? Get your story straight! Cannot have it both ways!

Hey Ketch, when is the last time a Head fb coach at A&M left on their own accord for another job? Not Sherman, Fran, RC, Jackie, or Emory. I think you have to go back 60 years to Bear. Idiot.

I hope Sumlin doesn't leave. He's a good fit at A&M and is good for college football.

Has that guy been right about anything related to A&M since 2010?

And I only put that time constraint on there because that is about the time I became aware he existed via posts on this forum.

No. He has literally been wrong about everything, from A&M not having a stand alone SEC offer to Kyler Murray.

Here's ketch's answer to a question from June, 2010 about if Texas would continue series with A&M if A&M went to SEC... he can't just answer that question but has to start predicting how well A&M will do in the SEC. He's a regular Nostradamus.

quote:
If you're asking me what I think, yeah, I'd pull the plug on pure principles. If this is their way of giving Texas the middle finger because they can't beat Texas any other way, then the Longhorns need to punish them the only way they truly can - by ignoring them for a while. I'm not talking about a forever-ban, but I'd cancel all activities for the remainder of the decade. If they want rivalries in the SEC, then let them go find rivalries in the SEC. At that point, I'd get on the phone with Notre Dame and see if they would have any interest in an annual series, which I believe they would jump on at almost any price because it would really allow them a presence inside the state in recruiting. That would essentially be another middle finger to A&M because the Irish will battle the Aggies for future recruits more than the Longhorns.

As far as what they might gain, there's a clear upside and some clear danger. It's like a raw athlete from a small high school that has a lot of talent, but a string of other circumstances give him a low ceiling as well. He might be an All-American or he might flame out in a year. They are going from being in the top third of Big 12 revenue producers to the middle-to-bottom third in the SEC and that doesn't change if they suddenly are making the same TV dollars. It is certainly possible that heading to a new conference will create enough excitement within the program that those dynamics could change a little, but they are entering the belly of the beast at a very weak point in their history. They will get abused if start play in 2011 and it might be such a bad beating that their place in the conference will be firm from the get-go.

For a "professional" he sure is wrong almost all the time.

Yes, sips certainly don't care about A&M as a rival. They are way too elite and too busy creating unearned trophys for their trophy room.

Here's Business Insider using Ketchum as a source in an article saying that Saban is headed to Texas.

quote:
There is also a report from Geoff Ketchum of OrangeBloods.com, the site that originally reported that Brown would step down this week, that Saban is looking into candidates for a potential coaching staff at Texas.
