It'll be cheaper to wait and buy them individually on stub hub
quote:That might be tricky this year depending on the logistics of their new rules on resale. The restrictions might mean that instead of a bunch of cheap tickets, there might just be even more empty seats than usual.

quote:The sip AD has put some sort of restrictions on resale of individual game season tickets. Don't remember exactly but I want to say that if the season ticket holder tries to sell too many unused tickets the sip AD will cancel all their tickets for the rest of the season. They are trying to force the occasional fan to buy single game tickets from the AD and also prevent season ticket holders from major discounting of unneeded tickets. Additional abuse of sip season ticket holders.quote:

What rule is this you speak of?
quote:StubHub is the preferred re-seller for tu athletics and StubHub has agreed to provide the info on those season ticket owners who sell some of their tickets. Those will be matched against Longhorn Foundation records for current donation levels. If they haven't given enough to "earn" the right to resell, they forfeit their seats.
So are they going to call roll every game just to make sure everybody is in their proper seat. Geeze talk about free market economics, that's a sure fire way to get people behind the AD.
quote:Do that. Dell Diamond is a great experience and very family friendly. (Traffic sucks though.)
Just got transferred to Austin last month and was perusing their home schedule for a team building outing. Ridiculous home schedule with no attractive options. Now, I'm looking at the Roundrock Express schedule instead.
quote:Can't help you on 620, but once you get up to 183, just hop on 45. Shoot over to grimes exit (past 35), and head north up to Dell Diamond area. Do not under any circumstances attempt the fly over from 45 to 35.
I live on Lake Travis right on 620. I may be screwed in any direction!

Going to paraphrase since it's $$$ content but Chip Brown says he has sources that say season ticket renewals are down 21% from last year. This is the lowest total of season ticket renewals since 1998. So I guess Steve got his wish to clear out the riff raff. Now he can replace us with all those new corporate clients he's planning to generate out of thin air.
No pressure Coach Strong.

Four years of Mack-post Bama and one of Strong and they are right back in the same place, only with a bigger stadium.

quote:A&M doesn't try to track me down if I sell some of my tickets in order to force me to eat the money for unwanted game tickets. Kinda like our conference not having a buy-out if a team chose to leave. It seems like trying to force people and their money to stay locked-in is a sip and BDF problem.
I wonder if A&M does the same thing?

quote:Okay, sport. A 21% decline in renewals is all due to the O&G industry and only the O&G industry.

And didn't I just read that a major Houston company just shut its branch in the BCS area?

No need to, we are sold out. My 5 po man seats cost almost 5 bills each and there was a rush 1+ years ago to get those.

So, after not renewing by the deadline, I finally got a call last Friday from my ticket concierge dude, or whatever the hell they call him, and during his plead for me to renew, I got some insight into Bellmont's mentality under Patterson. When I brought up the suck that is Jet Pack Guy, Club Texas, Godzillatron, DJ etc., he told me that those items and similar "mini-shows" throughout the game were necessary, as "not everyone who goes to the games likes football and we strive to provide all patrons with some form of entertainment." I couldn't believe that he actually said that, even though it's pretty obvious this is how Patterson feels. That was the final straw for me, why the $#@! are we catering to idiots who go to Texas Football games and don't like Texas Football!!!
