Pittsburgh L 37-26 game wasn't as close as the score

I've always hated this statement, it makes no sense.

Games are as close as the score says, no more no less. That's why the score is what it is. It's the groundwork for excuse-making.

Pitt had to try not to score at the end by taking a knee on A&M's goal.

I wouldn't look at what the coaching staff has done but what it had to work with.
Funny how after a slow start to albeit good teams most "fans" are quick to criticize changes made in the offseason especially after calling for the head of their coach last season.

Ag 2002 had Warren, Davis & Kiel. The loss of Warren, in particular, has hamstrung this defense.

The coaching change has helped, but it probably won't make an impact on the record this year.

To be honest Tech looks down also after getting killed by NCSU and barely beating Ole Miss. The defense got worse which I didn't think was possible.

People with no understanding of the contingencies involved with sports shouldn't start threads. It just makes you look dumber (if that's possible). You have the mental capacity of a slightly bruised cantaloupe.

Pitt showed a lot of class and took a knee on the Aggie 3 yard line as the clocked ticked down. Much like Arkansas and N.C. State (although Pitt still had their starters in, unlike Arkie's second team and Nc State's third team defense), Pitt could have scored again and made the deficit even larger.

FWIW, I was rooting for Tech last night. Ole Miss isn't a good team, but beating a SEC team on the road isn't easy either. Symmons's numbers are amazing.

2tex must be the same jackass I had this argument with last year. The game is never closer not as close as the score shows. Ever. The score is all that matters.

Props to the horns on here pointing out what a dipsiht you are. I can't recall which technical 2tex used to be, but please take the hint that you don't know a damn thing about football and aren't well liked. Don't let the virtual door hit you in the ass, 2tex.

Pitt's QB was also having an off day and missing wide open receivers. Sorry if the truth hurts.

reggie missed joesph wide open in the end zone for a 5-6 yard lob pass. whats your point?

potential doesnt score points, execution does.

tech sucks.

What about our overthrows? What about the sure TD that was called stopped when an "inadvertant" whistle was blown? What about the drops we had? What about the throw behind a wide open Kieth Joseph?

None of those things matter either, douchebag. The score tells the whole relevant story. Please go back to playing with your legos.

BJ is great and only non-Tech fans are surprised that he is doing better than KK. Reggie is also very good maybe the best talent in the Big 12. Fran can thank R.C. for that. It is ironic that an horn or an aggie would be so into the scoreboard since they tried to ignore it last year.

heres a hint : organize your thoughts a little better before you post.

im not really sure what KK or BJ or tech has to do with this thread, or even the amount of talent Reggie has.

do us all a favor and refrain from posting until completing freshman composition and rhetoric with a B or higher, ok?

2tex, how bout we make this deal, ill grant you the td to pitt at the end...now lets go change more happenings in the game and see what the score is:

1)pitt late second td- 44-26 Pitt
2)a&m doesnt fumble those punts which result in 13 points (missed pat)- 30-26 Pitt
3)A&M and Pitt both hit PAT's - 31-27 Pitt
4)A&M hits 30 yard field goal - 31-30 Pitt
5)Reggie hits joseph on easy 5 yard dump in end zone - 34-31 A&M
6)Td that gets wistled dead for no apparant reason 38-31 Ags
7)A&M converts 4th and inches instead of fumbling on the 10 - 41 (or 45 if we put it in the endzone)-31

So lets see, the score really didnt tell the story at all, it should have been 45-31, and if we hold pitt from the final td in the final seconds 45-24! Gee, what happened ags? Now im not saying that we should have won 41-24, Im simply saying its really easy to twist the score around

So was Texas showing class last night when we took 3 delay of game penalties within the 10 yardline and just ran handoffs to the fullbacks to avoid hanging 70, or is it only showing class when other teams do it?
