On a related note, I heard that Colorado, LSU, and Miami students were traveling to the October 4th game in Lubbock to learn from the tektards how to better optimize their obnoxiousness.

Looks like the West Point Grads will be getting a preview of who they'll be making fun of at the Officers Club.

Seriously, that's a feather in your beret.

Actually, it's the ring knockers from West Point that get made fun of.

I doubt even the Raiders can learn much from the Buffalos. CU considered a riot fee on their student bills for payment of damages to the Boulder infrastructure each year. Of course, Lubbock has no nice infrastructure to damage, except maybe for the bronze horse in front of the campus. It is dedicated to us pesky Aggies.

Gig 'em.

ummmmmm, no dtag, that would not be smart since I am well aware of the fact this has been posted. If you'll read carefully, you will see that the site was only posted to aid in the joke that followed.

Ugh...Colorado.

Normally, I always hope that visiting fans are treated nicely when they come to Lubbock, even the AGs and horns. I am embarrassed to hear of stories how they aren't.

But for Colorado...fcuk em. Absolutely ZERO class. Their older alumns laughed when they heard one of our band girls got cut above the eye from one of the "marshmellows" she was pelted with from the student body.

My wife loved the CU when we arrived in the morning, and by the time we left that evening was saying things about CU that I can't repeat on a public messageboard.

I hope the older CU fans have a good, unmolested time. I hope the CU students break down somewhere between Clayton and Amarillo, and miss the game entirely.

I wish A&M would try to play the Service Academies more often. I would much rather see them play Air Force, Army, & Navy instead of teams like Arkansas St. I hope the games with Air Force in '08 and '09 are very succesful so A&M will try to schedule future games with the Academies.

I wonder why the marshmallow incident didn't get as much pub as thousands of students trying to shove a goalpost into the visiting opponents section?

Pull the log out of your own eye before reaching for the splinter in someone elses.

Noble Men thanks for the heads up on the home and home with Army. It still must not be official yet since it is not on the future schedules yet.

The marshmallow thing with CU probably didn't get as much attention, because it is not as obvious as goal posts. Did anyone from Tech (other than the band) know that the marshmallows were laced at the time they were thrown? Or did they find out after the game?

Darn Tramp, what have you got against the people of the upper Panhandle? It's bad enough these idiots are driving through, but you're hoping they'll be stuck molesting the poor souls of Dalhart for hours on end?

You have no heart.

My apologies to the panhandle folk.

I hope they break down between Raton and Clayton.

From where I was sitting, I really didn't know what it was they were throwing at the band...but I swear everybody on the East side of that stadium was throwing something.

It wasn't until the band got back that I found out what all they had been hit with (my wife and I were sitting across the aisle from the band...next to the tubas).

The tuba player closest to me (who I understand died in a car accident this past winter), said his tuba was hit with marbles...you could see the dents...and you could hear them rolling around in it.

I saw the clarinet player walk by on her way to first aid station. Her forehead was bleeding profusely.

Colorado has the worst "fans" in the nation, hands down.

Their alumi are OK but the students are punks...I saw first hand how the police had to spray mace into the crowd gathering at the enzone next to the horseshoe in 1995.

Went to a CU alumni tailgate after the game in one of those preferred parking lots next to the stadium where all the "beautiful people" rig their stuff up. I was having a pretty good conversation with a hot babe in a mini skirt who was smoking a cigar....then she said "Look over there (her hand panning the horizon), those are the Flatirons. How could you live in Texas when you could live here"? I told her if I could find one blade of grass in the lunar landscape between Boulder and Denver I might consider it.
