Based on what I've observed here, on the rivalries board, I'd have to say that Tech still maintains all the characteristics of a pesky crotch rash that flares up once a year, and they have not ascended to that lofty place of their dreams, true rivals of Texas Aggie.
Reflecting on this board's explosion of posts after Texas' loss to Swine, then comparing it to the who-gives-a-rats-ass attitude of the board today even as the dust has yet to settle on another one of Leach's freak-shows gone wrong, I'd have to say that Aggie-dom has yet to recognize Tech as any sort of long-term threat.
It could very well be that Mike Leach is way ahead of his time, and we just don't get it, and nobody will ever get it until a day far into the future when American football is played everywhere in the world, and by everybody in it, and Leach can actually lead a team of small female Pigmies to some obscure championship in New Zealand. Maybe only then will the Texas Aggie give Mike Leach the respect he deserves.
This is just one of the reasons I'd have to say Texas Tech is still only "jock itch."
