You can't tell me you will miss Simms?
#1 - you're ignorant for pissing all over a Horn on a rival's board (or any board, for that matter).
#2 - you're ignorant because Chris won 26 games as a starter, including throwing for 400+ at UNL, and throwing clutch passes at KState - both of which were pressure situations that would make you piss your pants and scream for mommy. He took your abuse and the abuse of thousands of jackass idiots just like you and still showed class on and off the field. In addition, he set numerous passing records for UT without a truly viable running game to take some of the heat off.
"Oh, but he threw lots of INTs against a great defense when they KNEW we weren't going to run!"
I'd take Simms as the starter this year any day over an unproven Mock. And that's not a knock on Mock. If the OL has
truly changed their scheme and attitude, then I'd feel much more confident about winning 'em all with Simms at QB this year than a guy with 9 collegiate passes. If they haven't, then I'll give the nod to Mock only because he's more likely to be able to run away from the results of shoddy blocking.
IMO, Chris merited your disappointment for one game only - the CU game. He merited your disappointment, but not your scorn. WTF have you ever done? Sorry ass punk.
Edit: and just so I'm clear, let me state that I think it's perfectly fine to be in favor of one player over another at a particular position. It's perfectly fine to discuss how one player's skills (or lack of them) will effect the team in a given situation or against a particular team. You want to extol Mock's mobility vs Simms' lack of footspeed is the added dimension we need against OU? That's an arguable point. But calling him "Piss Simms" is the sign that you're the product of a weak seed.
