Up the road, at Texas, the story is the same. Wide receiver Roy Williams is the Longhorns' Heisman Trophy candidate. Listed at 6-4, he confessed last spring that he's closer to 6-2 3/4.

"Six-three," Williams said recently, offering an update. "I had a growth spurt."

I thought he was 6 foot 4. He sure plays like he's 6 4.

He doesn't look that tall from this angle, must be the horizontal thing....

What difference does an inch make? If he was actually 6-4, would he be any better....marginally if at all.

No Charles, the day Roy Williams leaves t.u. I will be a happy man. He scares me.

He'll probably have just enough reach to block a punt this year at Kyle, just to kinda put an exclaimation point on the ol'Heisman run.

I think Roy will spend most of the season sandbagging, epsecially if you lose to OU. He knows the scouts will realize he's sandbagging. Too many $$$ riding on him to risk his neck for another 2nd place finish.

With wheels like Chance Mock's, will the sips even need to pass the ball this year?

Jock - all depends on how much fried possum sticks he eats before the game. If he starts cramping up on them or gets sleepy, they may have to pass more often.

I've heard a nasty rumor that Macdumbass is strategically placing the nacho vendors in each end zone of Joe Jamal’s Trailer Park .

The question is, after a touchback....will Mock lead the team on an 80 yard scoring drive, or take the easy road and opt for the intentional safety?

The football board has invaded the Rivalries board, no question.

Franchione's turnaround at New Mexico took four years; at Texas Christian two years; and at Alabama two years. It could happen sooner here. The loss of six players to the NFL hurts, but this guy can coach and motivate. The sleeping giant of the Big 12 has been awakened. - Lee Barfknecht, Omaha World Herald

Will Roy be wearing those cool whitey tighties on his dome this year? If he went with boxers instead of panties he might get a couple inches extra...

you are all wrong. He is 6'0".

FICTION: "Many people, including me, bashed Simms for his inability to beat Oklahoma. But I don't care if Phil Simms is the QB, you can't win without a running game. Don't forget that Brown hasn't won a conference title. He's not a great gameday coach, a big reason why his teams will continue to lose to Bob Stoops and OU." -- Trev Alberts

The fact that Roy Boy wore panties on his head isn't nearly as disturbing as the fact that Chrissy didn't wash them after taking them off.

Jock -

Please take that picture of Piss Simms down...I was having a good day. I am just now starting to sleep well. The horror has returned to my mind. He ruined three years of my life.

Please. Rivalry or no rivalry, have some compassion.

Is that a fact? Obviously not. You can't tell me you will miss Simms? The only people who will miss him are the teams playing UT. He was a waste of potential talent. The only sack he had was the half dozen per game he took because he could not scramble, fell over when the wind picked up, etc. That guy, using a male term loosely, was just flat weak-willed. He will die in the NFL within 3 years. Think David Klingler.

#1 - you're ignorant for pissing all over a Horn on a rival's board (or any board, for that matter).

#2 - you're ignorant because Chris won 26 games as a starter, including throwing for 400+ at UNL, and throwing clutch passes at KState - both of which were pressure situations that would make you piss your pants and scream for mommy. He took your abuse and the abuse of thousands of jackass idiots just like you and still showed class on and off the field. In addition, he set numerous passing records for UT without a truly viable running game to take some of the heat off.

"Oh, but he threw lots of INTs against a great defense when they KNEW we weren't going to run!"

I'd take Simms as the starter this year any day over an unproven Mock. And that's not a knock on Mock. If the OL has truly changed their scheme and attitude, then I'd feel much more confident about winning 'em all with Simms at QB this year than a guy with 9 collegiate passes. If they haven't, then I'll give the nod to Mock only because he's more likely to be able to run away from the results of shoddy blocking.

IMO, Chris merited your disappointment for one game only - the CU game. He merited your disappointment, but not your scorn. WTF have you ever done? Sorry ass punk.

Edit: and just so I'm clear, let me state that I think it's perfectly fine to be in favor of one player over another at a particular position. It's perfectly fine to discuss how one player's skills (or lack of them) will effect the team in a given situation or against a particular team. You want to extol Mock's mobility vs Simms' lack of footspeed is the added dimension we need against OU? That's an arguable point. But calling him "Piss Simms" is the sign that you're the product of a weak seed.

Think David Klingler.

Klingler was a great athlete who should have played basketball. His QB play at UH was marked by an ability to fling the ball downfield in the general vicinity of receivers who would adjust to the ball successfully against overmatched opponents. He did not succeed in the NFL because, unlike college and high school, the NFL had athletes as good or better than him. And because he was drafted by the Bengals.

They are not similar at all.

Aggy should never talk that bad about Simms after all the yards and TD's he put up against you guys.
