Here are the facts.

On the appointed day at the State Fair, 2/3 of the time, Stoops will beat Mack to a bloody pulp. I do not expect this year to be any different. There is no national championship implication within 1000 miles of that game.

Nobody will be watching, because they'll be focused on LSU/Florida. There are national championship implications in that game.

On our game day vs. Alabama, everyone will be watching, because there are national championship implications, and because there is shared history, and because, most important of all, there is a vendetta.

America will watch A&M play 'Bama, just like it did last year.

And just like last year, 'sips won't even watch Stoops cock-slap Mack.

The consensus among my group is that we are all almost shocked at how quickly we all stopped giving two sharts about the t.u. rivalry.

Winning on the big boy stage will do that.

And no, it's not bc of their alleged dominance in the leather helmet era. My time at A&M- early 90s, was enjoyable vs the sips.

Now- I just don't care about t.u.

Suppose you had a choice in 2013:

Attend A&M vs. Bama, A&M vs. LSU, or A&M vs. sip.

ESPN and Gameday will choose one of the first two. So will 90% of Aggies.

Damn I love the SEC. It has the fans, the passion, the tradition, the giant stadiums, the famous coaches, the great road trips, and the top level of competition. Kyle Field and A&M are perfect fits.
