After signing day 2009, meaning February 2009, what school has recruited more 4 star players than anyone else in America?
The Texas Longhorns - Thanks Geoff Ketchum, rivals.com talent evaluator in Texas. All those players have done since setting foot on campus is go 22-16 for a .578 winning percentage. Great for a MLB team, but barely bowl eligible for a FBS team.
Seriously, in all three years of completed classes since then, 2010, 2011, 2012, in all three separate years, no one signed more 4 stars in each class than Texas. Not Alabama, Not LSU, Not USC, Not Georgia, Not Florida.
But that is not the most idiotic thing that has taken place. Ketch would like nothing more than to downgrade the current A&M class, and probably has done so on occasion. However, with 16 four star rated recruits (Assuming Prevot), Texas A&M will have signed as many 4 star players in 2013 as Texas has signed in any year since rivals began the current star rating system. And those are Geoff Ketchum rated players, which we know what that means for Aggie players in general.
It is quite possible, that this Aggie class is even better than advertised.
