6-13 in his last 19 Big 12 contests. Frankly, I'd b a little miffed if Texas was 13-6. But we're 6-13. A .316 winning percentage cuts cleanly through all of the bull**** of non-conference scheduling and other assorted nonsense. Texas can't win a third of our conference games over nearly twenty games. That's as close to a scientific sample as we need. We have to run the table the remainder of the year to get to .500. To get to average.

The horns were in the depths of hell when he got here. He got it turned around quickly so a lot of leeway was given. He finally got a conference title and a BCS win then got the MNC. That gave him some more time. That time has now run out.

I think most programs are slow to fire the head coach. To most fan bases it happens a couple of years too slowly. The horn alumni I have talked with the last two days are done. They weren't done after the last two seasons but are now.

whoa, whoa....

thought a&m was just absolutely ****ing horrible in the big XII.

i also thought the SEC was "top heavy." my guess is that all those big XII titles were distributed evenly among the remaining members.

ScipioTex has been my favorite sip writer since the 90s. Some of you who haven't read him before this may not know that generally, he's objective. He does mock A&M more often than not but usually it's in the form of humor and I've never been put off by it.

When I watched this Saturday's game I knew it was Mackovic's 66-3 and Fran's ISU 2005, and I knew there would be an article like this forthcoming this week.

That police blotter has gone down in direct correlation to the number of wins. Once Mack got that MNC he drastically cut down on the number of "risky" players and it shows on the field. I don't want any rapists and gun crimes but I'm more than willing to put up with some public intoxications and disorderly conducts from 19-20 year old kids.
