For the record, I don't think that the sips are paying the refs to blow calls. I simply think that many are not unbiased. Many are longhorn fans and as fans, they want their team to win. We've all seen photos of a ref or two - who just happens to have blown some calls in the longhorns favor - wearing longhorn shirts, jerseys, hats, or flashing the hook 'em sign. I don't think that they are intentionally sucking at their job; they are just incapable of truly being impartial.

It'd be one thing if it were just 1 team, or one isolated event.

It's happened against Nebraska (extra second), oSu (fumble before breaking the plane), Kansas (above), A&M (countless, but most recent being the late hit call on the final drive last year), Tech (i remember leach talking about it, cant remember the exact incident), Colorado (see fist pump video after score on youtube), etc.

Cmon indigo, you and I both know the replay booth got a call at the end of that game from a higher power and they quickly edited the video to show 1 second left when the ball hit the ground. The entire officiating crew, replay officials, and broadcasting crew were all in on it to fool the rest of the country by showing the replay at 1 second when the ball hit the ground.

More oeople were involved in this than the 911 inside job.

Love it when a sip comes to an Aggie message board to post this. The reality is that A&M and Texas both are still at least somewhat obsessed with each other. Sip fans desperately want A&M to fail miserably in the SEC and Aggie fans will always take pleasure in Texas losing. Water is wet. The sky is blue. How often do refs use instant replay to review and reset the clock at the end of a football game? Or for any non-penalty play where a timeout isn't called for that matter?

What's pathetic is that sips still try to act like this is something Aggies made up, even though people from every school in (or previously in) the Big12 know this to be true.

Fact is Big12 conference refs know if a bad call loses a big game for tu they're gone. If there's a close call in a crucial part of an important game, the calls go for tu. The commissioners office has openly stated that tu is the most important team to them. That attitude is what creates this unequal refereeing.

Inigo - Randy Christal, yes that Randy Christal, was an umpire in a home game where Roger Clemons was pitching. Roger didn't think too highly of his strike zone, and neither did his catcher. Randy threw out the catcher for framing pitches for extended periods of time. Roger then let his coaches and the media know about his problems with Christal.

Randy Christal umped exactly zero Texas home baseball games for the forseeable future.

i've seen the replays and the clock. if you are a conspiracy theorist around someone monkeying with the video/time clock - then i guess I can't convince you.

The big 12 is replacing the official who cost Okie State the game with the erroneous call and the replay official who took all of 6 seconds to look over at Dodds and ask him what to do.

The only requirements for the new officials are that they attended tu or at least have a t shirt and they can follow instructions well.
