These guys originally broke the Tiger Woods scandal...I hate to say it, they are on some of these stories long before the mainstream media...and that's sad.

Unless the NE produces video that leaves absolutely no doubt this story goes no where. Remember, this President was six months into his presidency before Saturday Night Live did their first unflattering skit about him - and then it was fact checked by CNN! He will absolutely get a pass from most of the media and everyone who doesn't will be deemed racists.

Also remember that Clinton's numbers went up during his scandals. I think it was due to the economy not the scandal, but it is safe to say the scandal only mildly hurt him. Plus Clinton had two additional elements that made it a bigger story than simply a sex scandal. First, there was the whole perjury angle. Second, he was doing it with a 19 year old intern. If Obama's scandal is simply having an affair it doesn't get near the attention of Clinton's even if Obama were not bullet proof.

Count me as another saying I want him to go down in flames, but not for anything in his personal life. I want people to wake up and reject his policies.

I didn't realize this was from six years ago. That is one more reason nothing will really come of it. Even if the tape surfaced (which as Dub says is highly unlikely) it is far enough in the past that it will be explained as ancient history, he learned from his mistake, blah, blah, blah. Without some aggravating circumstances (perjury, or cheating on spouse suffering from cancer) this wouldn't bring down any President, let alone someone as bullet proof as Obama.

Also, the Republicans need to be careful or this is going to backfire. If it starts getting reported (whether true or not) that there is a $1 million bounty to get info on a six year old alleged affair, that makes them look very desperate. If nothing ever comes of it then it will make Obama look great ("look, they couldn't even get dirt with bribery". Or, if a witness does come forward how hard is to impeach their credibility if it is rumored that they received a substantial sum of money.

I don't think the Republicans need this. If it falls into their lap then fine. But they need to position themselves as their main focus/concern is the economy, the deficit, and the increasing role of government - not some six year old affair.
