Why the **** does Pop play Bonner and Mason so much? SA would be infinitely better off if neither set foot on the court again this series

Don't ask me. The guy usually makes the smart moves, but the only think I can think off is Bonner isn't a rookie and Blair is a rookie. For some reason he doesn't care for playing young players much even when Blair can make even or better stats then a guy in half the minutes.

Ginosebleed was off. That effed up the rotation. That was the thin black and silver line that kept the Spurs on top in 3 games.

RJ is a waste of cap money. Blair still plays like a rookie. It's tough being over the cap with a bunch of stiffs from 7-13.

It wouldn't have mattered tonight. Dallas played inspired ball.

I think you may have to get used to Manu sucking, at least for the remainder of this series. His nose appears to be really hurting his play.

Even if he drives and misses, he'll play a part.

The roles are now reversed. Dallas faced elimination. And now, the Spurs effectively face it.

He doesn't play Mason that much. I think putting them in tonight was just putting up the white flag. I'd like to see their minutes cut the next game, which I think will happen. Ginobili was a turnover machine tonight, if it's his nose or not, I have no clue.

In a live chat in Game 1, I suggested a Finals rotation of 7 guys -- Timmah, Ginosebleed, Parker, Dice, Blair, Hill and TBA.

tonight's game didn't even feel like a game, it flew by and brought little to no emotion. i didn't even kick my dog, but i did have to take one of my kid's to get stitches..... for another reason...... maybe.

Look at the minutes for this game. Hill was the only starter with more than 24 minutes (he had 29). The second most minutes went to Mason with 28. Ginobili played just 18, the same minutes played by Mahinmi. Bonner had 22. McDyess played a shade under 14 minutes. Bogans and Temple both got a lot more minutes than they have in previous games.

Pop threw this game, no doubt about it. Starters should be rested and ready to go in San Antonio. Whether or not they win, look for a much more interested effort out of the Spurs on Thursday.

The problem is that Dallas won by so much that they got to rest too, and I dont think any amount of rest will help Manu until he heals

As for Duncan, it looks like he is running out of gas as the series goes on. He was fantastic in games one and two, pretty good in game three, and has been awful since.

Tony Parker is rounding back into form it seems, though

Dirk, Haywood, Kidd, and Butler's minutes ranged from 31 to 37. Not a ton of minutes, but more than the Spurs played. In any case, I don't think the Spurs are too concerned with what the Mavs are doing, they are just getting prepared to play their game.

In game 6, I expect Bonner to play very few minutes, and Mason/Temple/Mahinmi/Bogans not at all. Ginobili, Hill, Duncan, and McDyess will all play a lot. Blair and Parker will get good minutes.

All that said, I think Ginobili's broken nose was the death knell for any title shot the Spurs might have had. He's still a decent player, but he's pretty one-dimensional on offense now. His unpredictability was a huge part of his success, and without a jump shot his driving can be minimized.

I have to say that with that win last night the Mavs fans confidence has grown back to pre-postseason levels. Which I like...because it just means a better meltdown.

If you really believe this please move to the front of the stupid line. Pop would NEVER throw a game. He would however try and rest his guys when it became clear there was no way his team would win the game.

You can't move to the front as that space is currently occupied by the Dwayne Wade '06 Dallas crowd and the Dallas conspirators from this year.
