or other benefit of employment because the employee voted for or against a candidate or
measure or refused to reveal how he or she voted commits a third degree felony offense.
Harming or threatening to harm a voter by an unlawful act in retaliation against a voter is a
third degree felony offense (Tex ElecCodeAnn, Sec. 276.001).
