Brooks and Dunn are a large part of the reason that country music sucks today. They made it okay for clowns like Rascal Flatts to spike their hair up and do 45 year old boy band music masquerading as "country".

Good riddance. Now if we could only get Rascal Flatts and Big N Rich to follow suit.

Also, Toby Keith sucked WAY before 9/11.

It's not like their albums will be confiscated nor allowed purchase on itunes, you can still listen to them, really, you can... I sometimes still listen to the Beatles and Boston and half of them are dead!!

Lord I remember the day when A&M knew real country music.

Rest assured that B&D, nor any of the other "artists" mentioned in this thread are legitimate.

Why the f do all these idiots feel the need to spike their hair, wear costumes and dress like ******s? I don't recall Rabbitt, Conlee, Whitley, ETC, Gosdin, Alabama, Strait, Travis, Rich, Pride, Watson, The Oaks, Anderson, Haggard or any of the Outlaws dressing like ****** bags to get attention. As a matter of fact, the only badass I can recall that dressed loudly was Yoakam, but he pulled it off because it wasn't rehearsed or fake.

And of all the great early 80's songs Steve Wariner sang, you pick "holes in the floor of Heaven" to glorify??? Wow.

I honestly couldn't tell you any song that Brooks and Dunn sing. I'm only familiar with the name, therefore, they couldn't have been that good.

To be fair Neon Moon is a great song, everything else is pretty much the same song over and over.

I recommend any of you that like "country boy" country music take a listen to Eric Church. The guy has some great songs that really ring home for a guy who grew up in a small town. He takes jabs at present day country music in some of his songs also. Anyway, just my opinion
