Most of you have probably heard about this girl from Aledo, who had half of her brain removed, but here's a blog that chronicles her recent trip to Lubbock for the homecoming game.

Man that's sad....makes me feel inadequate when you see a little girl like that who has had to endure such hardships and still stays positive.

Harrell has made few friends here, but I'll give him (and crabtree) due credit for the photo below. Its a few miles from campus to the city limit, so it took a little extra effort for them to pose.

Remember seeing that site prior to her surgery. Good to see it all worked out.

How in the hell do you function after a surgery like that? I'm obviously no neurosurgeon, but that seems like a surgery that would make you 'vegetable-like,' but she seems to be functioning fairly well.

Yeah, I don't really get it either, but she looks great. I hope she can live a somewhat normal life.

good stuff, shows theres more important things in this world than sports rivalries (or non-rivalries) but also the power that sports can have on people. tech and harrell get a boost in my book
