The management company for the house I am renting is putting on next year's contract a "mandatory" resident benefits package. We told them we don't want it. Can they require me to purchase this nonsense?

Sounds like BS. But if you decline, they could just increase your renewal to $22 or whatever, maybe even $50 a month. Kinda stuck I guess..
