Power Lines over my property

Recently TXDOT purchased some highway footage from me.
The forced the power company to move their power poles as well.
They placed them inches from my property line.
The power lines actually hang over my property now.
Can they legaly do this. If they can what law allows them to do this.
This seems like an overreach by the power company.

Sounds like the primary term you are looking to learn about would be "easement" or "utility easement".

Depends on easement purchased, and sounds like they need to revisit what the prior easement agreement states.
Other things to consider: are the transmission lines for the carrier or service lines from your provider
A lot of service agreements carry blanket property easements.
Looks like you might have Farmers and I think they do

Lived in a house on a residential lot w/ the over head power lines were strung behind the lot. There was a transformer almost in the middle of my fence line. My neighbors power drops ran above my yard. There were 3 drops mine and both neighbors running through my yard and to the transformer. It was the mix master of a squirrel super highway.

Had an AT&T tech out one day installing internet and he told me that I could call Center Point and have them moved. That the lines were trespassing on my property. He said if they are slow to respond, tell them you will cut the lines.

I called and someone assured me that they would come look. After a couple of months w/o hearing from them, I called again and threatened to cut the lines. My call was immediately escalated and a nice lady told me someone would be out tomorrow.

Sure enough, they came out and the dude said he had never seen anything like it before. The next day they moved them.

Not exactly high voltage, but maybe you can threaten to cut down the poles...

If OP is in Sunnyvale, then I'm assuming this is Oncor.

Were the poles previously in TxDOT ROW? If so, they probably don't have an easement, just an agreement with TxDOT to have their poles located in the ROW. As long as they rebuilt them in the new ROW, there's really nothing you can do about it. I suppose you could try to make them take an aerial easement on your property, but it's going to be more trouble than it's worth.
