Useless, particularly if you have the online notification setup. Otherwise, ensure the county has your current mailing address (if you have multiple properties for sure or a property you do not occupy) and then check the records periodically.

Unfortunately title insurance won't help you for anything that happens to your title after the date of the title policy. Not saying the "Title Lock" type services are worthwhile but just pointing out that title insurance isn't going to protect from the perceived "risk" that title lock service is trying to convince people is out there.

the website alone is enough to raise about a dozen red flags.

They don't source any of their testimonials or data from the FAQ and they don't link any of the purported articles about title fraud. Just a bunch of scary numbers and stories about mortgage fraud in general.
