How long do you want to ignore this user?
I have a corner lot near campus that I was considering building a gameday cottage or 2/1 rental property on the back half of the lot. I'd like for the property to face the cross street and have a different address from the current lot. Does anybody have experience getting this approved through the city? Any recommendations for construction companies?

Contact Stephanie Doland in the city's planning department. Email/message me direct if you'd like her contact info.

Bluestone and Hancock Homes do quite a bit of 'Ag Shack,' game day, etc type construction. I can give you their contact info as well.

Is there already a house on the lot ?
And you are wanting to build another in the back of it ?

There is a house, but the new one would face the opposite street (corner lot) and there is a natural divider between the current house and the new one. I assume I'd have to resurvey. I know it sounds like I'm jamming too much into a lot, but this lot can handle it without looking tacky.

Thanks, message coming.

That setup would require a replat in most cases. The city would know, but I think you have an uphill battle.
