I just saw Joni's press conference for today's game vs. Georgia Tech. One of the things Joni said is that GA. Tech is tall. I just looked up their roster and they have a Jr. that is 6'6" and a soph that is 6'5". Both of these girls will be back next year so they are getting good experience this year.
I then checked our roster and we only have Lauren Ware at 6'5" who is a grad sr., so she will be gone next year. So, going into next year our tallest player is Emerald Parker a freshman at 6'3". Can anyone tell me if we tried to get a "tall" girl at 6'5" or taller in the 2025 class? Seems to me that we needed one so she could get some experience while Lauren is still here.

This is very common in women's basketball. The Super Tall girls are not always better.

Good 1st half of 1Q for us. Bad 2nd half of 1Q for us.

Ga Tech leads 16-14 after 1Q.

Our first opportunity to see this team. So far, we still do not have any reliable shooters. I hope I'm wrong but if not, it's going to be another long season.

Can the defense stop Georgia Tech from getting easy layups? Two players back on defense and the Tech player slips right by both of them.

This was the same problem from the tournament too. We can't contest without fouling at the rim. Either a wide open layup or a foul

It's going to be a long season if they don't figure it out.

Georgia tech is a very very bad team, probably will finish well below .500. We need to win this, would be a bad loss otherwise

Need to make free throws at a higher rate. I'm sure the coaches are on that. 67% isn't going to cut it in the SEC.

Overall - UTA was a bad loss but looks as if the team is continuing to improve. West Virginia will be a challenge but they can do it!

Nice to see us beat a team that got one of our "defectors" from last year!!!
