December 8, Kansas State comes to town

Why can't we do the same? Just really having hard time understanding why we are no longer relevant, or why we can't seem to get back to where we were. I'm genuinely asking. Are our facilities subpar? I'm just of the belief that if you have a coaching staff that the elites want to play for then the program will grow. (outside of infinitely more NIL opportunities from competing schools). What is the disconnect? Are we being unreasonable and unrealistic? When you listen to Coach Joni talk, you can tell she knows the game and understands why we aren't winning. Her team just doesn't listen maybe? IDK!?!

I want to be the first to point out that greg was right about Coach Blair. He did seem to lose steam with the recruits, but nobody loved and sold A&M like GB. We owe that man more than his name on the court. Really wish we had given KBW a shot. I'll be the first to admit I was wrong. Not giving up on the current coaching staff but definitely trending the other direction for me.

Kentucky went from last place to top 3rd of the conference in one off season. Didn't take their coach 3 years. Crazy what motivation and structure does for a program. Their coach actually has a vision, unlike ours who collects a pay check and coasts for bottom of the barrel

Is our excuse injuries, or is it truly lack of determination from the top? We have lost SO many to the transfer portal. Some needed to go, but did they? They clearly weren't getting what they needed in a coach or a coaching staff. On another note, you've had several transfer in (Ware, AC, Kent, Kyndall...) that seem to believe in Coach Taylor. WTF IS THE PROBLEM? LOL

I think the thing that shocked me the most is the total lack of faith the conference and media have in this program now. We aren't even considered a threat anymore. Receiving votes? What is that?

No - what do you mean re: recruiting?

You wanna talk about rankings, we're 68th according to the Massey Ratings… and that's cause it's a computer system that early on still over values last seasons record. The teams we've beaten are ranked

112. UTSA
229. Western Michigan
313. Northwestern State

And we lost to
13. West Virginia
136. A&M Corpus Christi

Their model projects us to go 13-13 which is hard for me to believe quite honestly.



And we actually end our non conference slate with

Can't believe we scheduled 3 teams outside the top 300 lol!!! Villanova our next opponent is 49. Then we play either Ball State or North Carolina, probably UNC if we win and Ball State if we lose. Then hosting Syracuse and Kansas State at home… which are both on national tv for now
