This team will be better and do better than last year's squad. We're definitely going to shock the conference this year, and some fans too. These projections are also NIL-funded/directed media coverage.

Aicha Coulibaly & Lauren Ware are going to be one of the best duos in the SEC. Leading scoring and rebounding. https://texags.com/forums/58/topics/3495434 - check out this thread, Aicha Coulibaly's highlights from last season. When she becomes the scoring priority, no one can stop her, example: South Carolina & Nebraska games in March last season. Coulibaly & Ware will be in WNBA stock mode this season!

Kyndall Hunter & Sole Williams will lead the way beyond the arc. Sharp shooters! Kyndall Hunter opened her college career (at tu) with a 27pt 7/8 from 3 performance. We all saw Sole's potential shine last season, expect an elevated game across the board this year.

Sahara Jones is going to have her career-best season, as the most experienced Aggie on the team. Her experience (4 years of SEC play) will be huge down the stretch!

Janae Kent is going to make Kim Mulkey devastated that she left NILsu. Did you know Janae holds her high school free-throw record shooting 25-26 in one game? Insane accuracy!

Taliyah Parker will end the season on the SEC All-Freshman team. She's a baller! Anyone who has watched her play knows she is a dangerous player to face.

Vanessa Saidu will give us our first Aggie dunk in team history. She has amazing length, we could have one of the strongest defenses in the nation this year.

Jada Malone & Amirah Abdur-Rahim will be some of the best paint coverage in the entire conference. The rotation with Malone, Abdur-Rahim, Ware and Saidu is going to give constant presence inside, and make it challenging to post up/drive.

Eria Moon will be a clutch PG in many crucial moments throughout the season! Her handles and passing are excellent. I assume she learned a lot her first year observing/learning from the bench while recovering.

This team is now officially underrated by the conference/media, but I think it will only fuel the fire, and they'll use it to their advantage. Let's be the 12th Man for our Aggies this season! Thanks & Gig Em

PNW I sure hope you're right! Coulibaly can flat out take over a game which we finally saw at the very end of the season. I expect Ware and Sahara to both be improved. We will have lots of experience and maturity for sure. I'm really hoping to see a more focused, cohesive team than last year's team. We never really meshed. I don't know nearly as much about the other players you mentioned so I appreciate your insight. I'm keeping an open mind about this season and am hopeful that we'll surprise lots of folks. Pre-season rankings don't mean much. Ready for the season to start! Gig Em!!

We're under the radar for several reasons. The media is very NIL $$$ driven these days, even conference media/all-team selections. My assumption is they saw that Janiah left, + Endyia graduated, and threw out our "chances" from there.

Bold take, but I believe we're better off without Janiah. I love her game and electric personality, but there were way too many unseen dynamics that impacted the team as a whole last season. Coulibaly was incredibly underused until the end of last season, and I actually believe she might be THE most underrated player in the SEC right now.

What the media doesn't see is our team's UNITY. Joni has said their chemistry is electric on and off the court. Especially in the NIL/transfer era, we have landed a team that fully supports and trusts each other. Trust me, that's not common. This is probably why last year didn't feel "cohesive" at times, the overall unity and trust between all players.

All of my "season predictions" were to highlight potential and strengths I see. I'm very optimistic about this season!

Like the optimism. Hope it comes true. Hope Ware can score better....she is a great rebounder and good defender. Not sure I would assume our projected point gurad learned a lot from the bench, I do agree we will be better without Barker. Chemistry and unity can be a huge factor! Maybe this will be the year injuries are at a minimum/

There's only 11 girls on the roster, 2 are coming off year long injuries, we better pray we don't have injuries… Joni chose or failed to add anyone else

Terrible roster management - too focused on international basketball to prioritize filling needs. Wow.

Joni announced freshman Taliyah Parker is out injured, not season ending, but she will be out… so we're down to 10 girls to start the season

We should probably hold an open tryout for students to see if we can add a couple girls

FWIW - Coach said she and her staff are more comfortable with an 11-13 player roster. We'll see how it goes.

We've seen the top teams only play 7-8 rotation anyway. Outside of just keeping everyone fresh and healthy, 10-12 is ideal, but if our top 8 girls are solid, I wouldn't think it would make that big of a difference.

So week 1 we start with 10 girls, no team goes the entire season with an entire roster healthy every game. So then we'll be down to 8 or 9, if another gets a minor injury and/or another fouls out. 2 are coming off season long injuries in Jada Malone and Kyndal Hunter and haven't played in a year. We will be in deep deep trouble and in an absolutely embarrassing spot much like year 1 if luck isn't on our side. So she's had two off-seasons to add girls and add depth but has failed in doing so. Of course she's going to say she likes a small roster because she has one. Every year at Georgia she had 13 girls and one year 14. We can't just sit here and be comfortable our coach failed to recruit more players and isn't using all her resources and scholarships to build a championship roster. She loses girls in the portal, has a horrible recruiting class, and doesn't replace what she lost in the portal! I love this team and I'm going to support them every single game, but it's still awful to see the roster management by Joni Taylor.

hopefully we win!!! That's what I'm hoping and rooting for. But it's already year 3, we have football be one of the best football teams in the country in a coaches year 1, softball and volleyball hire new coaches and both make the tourney in year 1, volleyball is now in contention to host in year two, softball is set to be one of the best teams in the nation in year 3. Baseball reached the national championship in year 3. Joni is going into year 3, she has elite resources, she has a great state to recruit in, she has a program that has historically been great, 3 years to build a championship roster… there should be no excuses and this roster management is very questionable, and every other coach in the conference agrees as they have us projected to be 13th. So let's see where it gets us!

She's 8-24 in conference play up to this point

This year we have to see her finish in the top half of the SEC or there will be a mutiny. In the age of the portal, top coaches win - 3 years is more than enough time to see what she can do.
