LEXINGTON The Texas A&M women's basketball team is set to face off against Kentucky on Sunday at 3 p.m. inside Rupp Arena at Central Bank Center.
The Aggies (16-6, 4-5 SEC) are going into Kentucky after dominating Ole Miss, 72-53, on its home court. Texas A&M is ranked No. 8 in the nation in rebounds per game (45.2) with Lauren Ware (8.7) and Janiah Barker (7.9) leading the efforts on the glass.
Ware recorded her team-high ninth double-double of the season against the Rebels with 20 points and 11 rebounds. Janiah Barker also chipped in a season-best 21 points at Ole Miss, going 9-of-15 from the field and sinking three triples in the process.
Kentucky (9-14, 2-7 SEC) is 9-4 at home this season and this will mark the first matchup between the two teams in Rupp Arena. The Aggies are seeking their first pair of back-to-back SEC road wins since the 2020-21 season.
