Women's Basketball to Host No. 1 South Carolina on Sunday

BRYAN-COLLEGE STATION, Texas The Texas A&M women's basketball team is set to face off against No. 1 South Carolina inside Reed Arena at 4 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 21. Fans are encouraged to wear white to Sunday's contest.
The Aggies (14-3, 2-2 SEC) are 11-0 at home this season behind their suffocating top-ranked defense. The Maroon & White has held two of its SEC opponents, Tennessee and Auburn, to their lowest scoring games of the season. Texas A&M is ranked No. 3 in the nation in field goal percentage defense (32.7%), No. 4 in scoring defense (51.5) and No. 3 in rebounds per game (47.29)
Endyia Rogers has led the way for the Aggie offense during conference play, averaging 18.0 points per contest in the four-game stretch. The Dallas native is also ranked No. 7 in the nation in assist-to-turnover ratio (3.1). Aicha Coulibaly has been the second leading scorer for the Maroon & White through SEC play (15.5 ppg) and is coming off a season-high 19-point performance in a 71-56 victory over Tennessee.
South Carolina (16-0, 4-0 SEC) is fresh off a dominant 98-36 victory over Kentucky. It leads the nation in scoring margin (38.9) and, just like the Aggies, boasts a top-ranked defense. The Gamecocks rank No. 1 in field goal percentage defense (29.3%), No. 1 in blocks per game (9.3) and No. 3 in scoring defense (51.4).
