This is not an overreaction. The is the continuation of an abysmal 2+ seasons now. It's frustration talking. I pray it gets better. I really do, but if we have another season of this, there will be zero butts in seats.
My thoughts to......there was no urgency to the offense....our ball handling sucked.......couldn't hit our bunnies.....aggiedrjdub said:
Hylton should be playing over KK. Green is good for at least 5 turnovers a game and 97 fouls and zero offensive output. At least Hylton can score.
But she shot a ball twice and it was blocked cause she shoot it looking at the opposing player--- pass the damn ballGap said:
Our guards/perimeter players were absolutely dominated. Bowles is the only one who came to compete for us from that group.

It's not just one game. Last year was rough with injuries, but even somewhat healthy they lost to teams like UALR. The red flags are starting to raise a bit
That is not a worry.......what's a worry is the players not executing the playsB$Weigem said:
I'm really concerned about Joni's x and o ability.
I couldn't have said it any better giggity. I figured there would be some highs and lows breaking in 3 new starters for the first 6 to 9 games while they learn each other, how they want to establish their identity and learn how to battle through adversity. Joni's half court set offense is not what I would run but it does produce many shots that the team just didn't cash in on. You just don't win when you have good shots and don't make them. I said earlier in the summer it's going to be up to Joni to create a system that maximizes these players talent. We shouldn't have lost this game at all, but unfortunately, that is what it takes to refocus the coaches and the players sometimes. Better to figure it out early and correct it now. I think these players have the desire to win and will do what it takes going forward. I will hold my critique untill after 9 to 10 games. See you then. Gigem!!!giggitygigem said:
1. Joni can't make the layups for the girls. 14/39(36%) on 2s is never gonna cut it.
2. SJ can't finish with her left hand, I know it, she knows it, and Purdue knows it.
3. If your starting backcourt goes 1-16 you lose, the shots honestly weren't bad.
4. This poor execution is what you see when players have to miss practice time for nagging injuries.
5. Won the rebounding margin by +10 but gave it back on turnovers -11.
6. Rashunda Jones is going to be a PROBLEM in the big 10 for the next 4 years. Breakout game for her, never saw that coming
Did you watch her play in the first two games? If so, you could probably answer your own question. She looks like a great athlete but the game / system definetely have not clicked for her yet.Ag4eva95 said:
Defense without fouling? Doesn't turn the ball over? Some sign of structure to offense and defense? Idk, she could bring something to the table maybe.
