The Nixon thing is kind of a moot point. She was never a part of this team. She made her final decision to not play basketball in early May. Joni was involved in the USA Basketball stuff all Summer so the timing of it all was really bad to address anything using the portal.

I'm not talking about Jordan Nixon specifically I'm talking about how much seasoned veteran point guard play matters in this conference and in Joni's system. All the top teams have one. Cooke/Fletcher(SC) Morris(LSU) Taylor(Miss) Walker/Powell(Tenn) Barber(Bama) We need one who knows how to make a basic post entry pass, can organize a team on defense, when to push and when to pull back, how to swing the ball in the half court to keep a zone moving and one who can shoot free throws. The four players we've tried at the 1 are 62/92. No one we've tried at the 1 has got 3 out of those 5 criteria. I've been saying all season this team has a bunch of 2s cosplaying as 1s and that simply isn't how Joni's most successful Georgia teams were ran.

Well…we have everything but the end of first year ramp up. But can we skip the awful Covid fail year, please???
