Why do the post keep taking that one dribble down low and why on our press break does no one ever flash to the middle?
Like what are the other players doing on the other side of the court besides looking at the guards struggle.

Looks like the team got a little cocky with the 3 point shots and let SFA back in the game.

Just a super sloppy effort tonight. Potential is there, but like fitz mentioned, very surprised to see some of these turnovers. Our bigs played poorly tonight. However, in GB style, one mistake and then they are out of the game.

I agree with the bigs' poor play and I had so much hope for the post players this year after the first few games.

Very true and done forget we play Texas in non-conference and it's going to be nothing but pressure all game.

I have a feeling some of these athletes won't get much playing time in the bigger games. I see about 7, maybe 8, that should be playing the majority of the game.

Lastly, it's clear that we don't have a true point guard which is going to hurt us down the road (unless one of our shooting guards takes one for the team).

A flip side worth mentioning of SFA playing small to press all game was we outrebounded them by 17 (41-24).

In the tougher games, I can see as many as 9 playing for us. Sure it coild be 7-8
In easier games 11 to all 14 playing

Nixon is not a natural point guard. We can agree to disagree with MGreen. I don't think she does what GB wants her to do at all. If that were the case she'd be playing more. I'm not saying that we don't have an athlete that can play that position, but I don't think we have a solid 1 on the team by any stretch of the imagination. I do believe the other Green girl is a more natural point guard, but she isn't getting as much playing time either. I think GB has 4 guards that can shoot lights out and it seems he is perhaps trading ball security for scoring and experience. We struggle to get the ball up the floor at times Bc it's point guard by committee versus a natural point guard that can easily break a press off the dribble.

This is a new look offense so far and I'm not hating it. Just need a bit more ball security and a little more patience at times (which will come).

And, I agree, SFA is a good team, but we should have beaten them by 20-30 points (and would have with fewer turnovers).
