Woodward is the best there is.
Well, he tends to overspend and leave his departments hamstrung financially, but yeah, I guess.

I had some further discussions with one of Kim's family members. Her family is from the Alexandria, LA area and I am close friends to a cousin. Anyhow, he was telling me that LSU is matching the salary of Baylor plus incentives. Supposedly, Kim was making $2.5MM at BU. I assume this would be salary plus incentives.
I ran into a few roadblocks in my search, but I would assume that $2.5MM+ is the highest paid women's coach in the entire world, in any sport.
it tells me either LSU doesn't think they'll get hammered by NCAA or Kim was really at odds with BU and ready to move "home".aggiedrjdub said:

" But LSU's goal should be to win championships in every sport, especially a high-profile sport like women's basketball in which it has enjoyed great success in the past. Overall, LSU needs this win desperately in the wake of its still ongoing Title IX scandal. It needs to be able to say to the world, "We are making changes and making a huge commitment to winning in women's basketball." If Mulkey is willing to hitch her considerable star to LSU's wagon, it could be significantly symbolic for the entire school."
she has calmed down alot since she showed out and NCAA came down on her ....trackaggie76 said:
Bottom line to all of this is that LSU is going to get really good in a short period of time and we will all have to endure Mulk's tantrums on the sidelines at least twice a year!
they have feds looking at title IX violations. NCAA looking at multiple programs. Again it might all end up amounting to nothing.aggiedrjdub said:
maybe a combo of both? would LSU's athletic issues affect the women's basketball program? admittedly, i don't know much about what's going on internally outside of the football issues.
oh geez - ouch. that doesn't sound good.BQ_90 said:they have feds looking at title IX violations. NCAA looking at multiple programs. Again it might all end up amounting to nothing.aggiedrjdub said:

I hope you are right. I wasn't aware the NCAA called her out!

She'd have to play us at least twice a year. So much for no longer sleeping with your ex.
This is what they say she will get.....Mulkey was making a little less than $2.3 million at Baylor and is expected to get a boost to $2.5 million at LSU. That may not seem like a lot, but the amount is significant. It is the same salary LSU is paying men's basketball coach Will Wade, and bumps Mulkey past Geno Auriemma ($2.4 million) as the highest-paid women's basketball coach. Dawn Staley was previously the highest-paid coach in the SEC, making about $1.7 million per year (her pay is loaded with bonuses that can push over $2 million). Geno has a ton of incentives so they are neck and neck.....Rudybryan said:caleblyn said:

We need to replace Blair with a superstar head coach not elderly and who our girls can actually hear on the court.
