As of this morning, 3/3/18, we are hosting at Reed with Duke coming here as the 5 seed.
The booby prize is the sub regional winner goes to Albany to play UCONN in the S16.
So, we are currently the lowest seeded 4. My guess is that does not change even if we get
out scored by Vic today. A lop sided MSU win might still hurt us, but I think we remain a 4!
Wonder what an upset would do for us? Sure would be great for the team and the program even if still a 4...
might send us to a different bracket as a higher seeded 4.

Of course Creme only predicts what the NCAA committee will do.
He is likely fairly close. I see Duke lost to USC on the road by 20 points. Only common foe we have with them.
Makes our last shot loss to USC look pretty favorable if we do play Duke. Plus GB has a good record vs Duke.

Duke lost to NC State 51-45

USC lost to Stanford 69-59.

Maryland may bounce us out of hosting a sub regional by claiming the 16th overall seed if they beat Ohio
State in the BIg 10 Tournament Championship...game is at 6 pm tonight CST...root for OSU!

Heard Charlie Creme say this a few min ago.

Maryland cut the lead all the way down to 2 in 4Q, but we got the result we wanted as Ohio St. ended up winning 79-69.

The problem is all the tournaments for wbb is not over, and another team may be able to move up
kicking us to a 5 seed. I think NC State would be booted first, but Creme still has us as the lowest 4 seed
since we are in UCONN's region

If we don't host it will be because Creme is wrong now, not because of the tourneys with one unlikely exception: UConn losing in the AAC.

Of the teams that could bump us, the only 5 seed still playing is S. Florida. Of the 6 seeds, all are done except DePaul, which won the Big East regular season. So I doubt they can gain much by winning their tourney.

I have watched south Florida. They are good and if they are the fifth seed in our bracket when we host we will have a tough road to get to sweet 16. Watched them dismantle Ohio State severely

ESPN's latest has us as a 4 playing 13 South Dakota with the other teams in College Station being 5 Duke versus 12 Southern Cal.

The 5 seeds are Duke, South Florida, Missouri, and Maryland. All tough squads. All 4/5 matchups would be tough. So, having it at home is at least a little edge.

Creme must be right because he agreed with Blair, and GB is really into this !

Ags now 14th in today's AP poll and 15th in the NCAA rpi

looks like a solid 4 seed! GB said sos was 10th.

GB now saying he does not think we will be the last 4 seed, and that means avoiding Albany and UCONN if he is correct. Of course that means getting to a S16 first.
