Got the dreaded email from my processor today saying we exceeded the 12 month 1 million dollar threshold for non-direct amex processing through OptBlue, and that we have to move to amex processing directly.
This will come with a SIGNIFICANT increase in our cc fees for amex and I would really like to talk to someon friendly who can help me navigate how to best not lose our shirt on these increased fees. We have a small retail business in Austin that has enjoyed significantly low rates through GoDaddy processing and I know the amex direct rates will be terrible in comparison so i'm trying to find any way to avoid it or at least limit the damage. Thanks!!
I have a month to get on amex direct according to godaddy, but if I delay past that they have threatened to pull our processing entirely.
