I don't know of any way one can do it directly other than owning stock in Tyson, JBS, or Marfig. That said, their beef tallow business is a drop in the bucket compared to their overall business.

Just one person's opinion.

I know from generations of experience this a terrible investment.

I'm not aware it directly trades on any exchanges. Don't know if there are any derivatives between the cattle market and ethanol/biofuels market a person could look at or not. There are newsletters available that do report prices FOB etc at various points across the US or in other countries. I've never looked close enough to see if its most of the big slaughter outfits doing the selling volume at those points through their internal traders/brokers with the biofuels companies on the other side.

I think the issue you will run into here is that a lot of the tallow companies seem to be smaller and locally sourced. Once they get to the point where you could publicly invest, the product itself is watered down garbage.

I would think you'd have to find a private company and be an investor at that level.

They could also invest in a solely rendering company like Darling Ingredients, which still is a lot more than just beef tallow, but it's a much larger portion of the business than those that also make food.

This reminds me of when I had to clean up half a load of tallow at the feedlot because the driver was trying to pump through our pump and blew a hose.

I don't know much about trading tallow but like mentioned above, pretty much all of it comes form JBS, Cargill, and Tyson. There was one time, tallow was so expensive in Dalhart that we were buying it out of Arizona. You might also look into companies like westway feed products. Whey is also another interesting feed product that gets traded.

They say that tallow is healthier than processed seed oils, but if you're eating tallow from corn fed factory beef, it's probably just as unhealthy as canola.
Well…you sounded taller on radio.
