Anyone else use this? I have for probably 10 years and always loved the ease of use, single pane of glass, and the clean UI...but lately its started to suck. Basically our credit cards aren't feeding transactions in consistently or sometimes not at all. No connection/sync errors - just no data. Sometimes transactions will just go into permanent pending limbo. Weird thing is often the balance is correct, just the txn details are not there.

Some accounts need constant babysitting with connecting and have to redo MFA on every sync (not sure this is Empower's fault).

Anyway - given its free its tough to complain too much through support and really what can be troubleshot on a SaaS app on my end. I am considering wiping accounts and starting over, but prefer not to risk losing what historical information is there.

Anyone having similar issues?

Any other similar products out there that people like? I'd pay something, doesn't have to be free.

Nothing else out there as slick looking as Empower-PC for investments that I've found. If you use Fidelity, they have a tool called "Full View" that is an aggregator and will pull all of your other accounts in. Not as slick as PC but it at least gives you some insight into full picture.

I've noticed issues lately with other tools as well. The new "open banking" standard was supposed to make these connections more reliable, but in my experience I've found they aren't always as reliable as the old connections. Might be growing pains with PC switching stuff around.

And then you have firms like Optum who decided they won't let anyone to connect to them.

Been a user for around 10 years as well. Love the aggregator feature, but hate the constant hiccups I encounter under Empower ownership. Was much better before the acquisition.

I've decided that I just need to be happy with being able to see all my financial accounts in one location at one time, regardless of historical information. I just wish I didn't have to "fix" multiple accounts with two-factor authentication every time I login.

Also used Mint at one time, but it also went to **** after an acquisition.

I dumped Empower due to the connection issues and started using Intuit Simplifi.

Use empower for investment aggregation, quicken for expenses. Both are good at their piece but not the other IMO. PC got clunky with the Empower acquisition.

Yep. It only recognizes part of one of my fidelity accounts, and I have syncing issues all the time with my Marcus HYSA.

I'm a Merrill guy, everything is with them, banking too. All on one page. Free trading too. Pretty durn easy to see what's going on.

Glad I'm not the only one with Optum connecting issues! When it comes to tech, my default thought is that I'm doing something wrong!

I switched from Mint to Simplifi a few months ago, and for what I need, it does the job. I don't budget, but use it for tracking net worth, current values, and spending trends. Makes it easy to fill out financial profiles and such. It's better than Mint in every way, and although it is a subscription (I used the free version of Mint), it's probably worth it.

It has been seamless in updating and linking from the various few dozen accounts I have, except for Optum Bank (an old HSA account). That firm is really difficult to do business with. Schwab won't roll it, so I guess I'm stuck with it.

I use Empower. I had to reconnect one of my bank accounts once, but other than that no real issues other than it doesn't pull in my company RSU account, so I have to enter those transactions manually.

I'm not sure anyone can pull in RSUs. I've never had a platform that could. Always have to handle those manually.

main gripe with Empower/PC is as soon as you login it has to plaster your net worth in huge numbers at the top of the page without any way to avoid it

I'll look into Simplifi.

Personal capital has gone downhill after Empower bought them.

Sig Fig is another option but I haven't used them in years

Currently using Fidelity full view

Monarch pulls my RSU and ESPP balances over from Fidelity. Not sure how it works with other brokers.

You gotta get those numbers up. [/gif]

I've had good luck with it overall, having used it since Mint shut down.

We have one credit card that doesn't sync, so I have to manually input that balance.

I have had issues lately with transactions being shown as pending long after they've settled.
