Hi friends- I have a small tree farm and need a website. At the moment I don't necessarily need customers to look at it, but it would be helpful to have something that vendors could look up.

Regarding the tree farm- I won't have inventory to sell for quite a while which is why I don't need a robust/expensive website.

In other projects I've used Wordpress but that's overkill for what I'm looking for here. Anyone recommend a cheap, basic website platform? I'm very comfortable building the website myself.

Not sure why you think Wordpress is overkill for a simple website, you can build out a couple of pages in a couple of minutes.

You could of course go with Wix, Squarespace, etc. but you're much more locked in at that point.

If it were me I'd build the one or two pages in Wordpress and throw it on a cheap host if you aren't expecting a lot of traffic. If at some point you want to start selling online and expect more traffic you could migrate to a better host and also install woocommerce.

Wordpress isn't overkill if you don't over kill it.
