Almost bought some Tuesday afternoon. I swear, me just thinking about it, made it drop.

Is this latest drop just because of the delayed 10-K? If they end up with a material weakness related to this delayed controls testing, is that now already priced in?

It's been interesting to see. It appears that the chip-investing binge is either over or has reached a plateau. NVIDIA is up about "only" 4% total over the last three months as well. More telling, they smashed through earnings predictions, and the stock still fell.

I think volatility will be the name of the game for now, but a chunk of these companies have solid foundations for the future. Intel is cooked, and AMD has given back nearly all of its annual gains (but still up pretty big if you're an LT holder).

I think a lot of the run up was people buying in because they felt like they missed the boat on NVDA and were thinking SMCI builds all the servers that use NVDA chips so they will bank as well. However NVDA is now pivoting and working towards building there own complete servers so SMCI won't be getting all the business analysis thought they would.

just to clarify, SMCI only builds a fraction of servers that hots nvidia gpus. dell has a much larger market share here.
