I need a recommendation on an employment attorney who can help me go after my former employer that is refusing to pay me over $80,000 in commission that I earned. I'm in the Houston area.

Not an attorney. What does your employment contract say? I've worked at multiple places where commission was paid only if you were employed on the date that commission was scheduled to be paid. So if you were paid on March 14 for February and you left March 1 you wouldn't be paid. Surely a job paying that kind of commission had a contract dictating these things.

I worked commission only for Merrill, they would for sure have paid that out after I left. Paying it is cheaper than paying an attorney to fight the lawsuit.
