Howdy, I own a working interest in USL Acerage in Winkler Co. Tx. Continental Resources is proposing 3 horizontals on this lease. Prior to becoming a WI owner, wondering if anyone knows of, works for, had dealt with said Continental Resources. Was long gone from Midland, 11 yrs, and had never heard of them. Thanks!

Continental is a large private independent. I know a couple folks over there and they seem pretty competent. They've been around for decades.

Been around a long time. Based in OKC and were 100% Oklahoma operator until a few years ago. I've never heard anything bad about them.

One of, if not the first, companies to drill in the Bakken. Recently expanded to Permian (2-3 years ago). Great company & good people - under the radar comparatively speaking because they are back to privately owned and aren't in Houston. Their pad sites in OK are always first class and kept up.

*have never worked for them - live here in OK and was a vendor for a few years when I was still in the oil field.

AgLaw07: Again, many Thanks, this helps me a bunch, no need to fear getting in bed with some no name outfit.

Should be OK being a WI partner with them.

As a contract wellsite consultant- seems like they ramp up, ramp down, no real rhyme or reason to keeping guys working for them. Know several that either quit or aren't invited back, and all solid guys I'd have no issue giving references for.

My father is an engineer for them and has nothing but good things to say about them. 45 years in the oil business. He retires in 2 weeks and said they have been very good to him.

I work for a Bakken focused non-op oil co (basically means we participate financially in wells but don't drill them ourselves). Continental is one of our most preferred operators if not #1. However their experience in the Bakken goes back a lot longer than the Permian. I would still trust them to do a good job though. They are also easy to work with as far as JIBs and revenue checks.
