Then the obvious answer is to park $300k of this into a safe vehicle since your horizon for needing it is 12 months or less. You can earn 5-6% on that with little risk. There's really not enough info provided to make a recommendation. Will you need this money (or any part of it) in the short-term? What is your investing horizon? What do your existing investments look like? Would need to know at least those items before weighing in.
